The album yielded one single, 'The Thing That Only Eats Hippies'/'Beach Party Vietnam,' released in 1987.[6] Both tracks were featured on the 1997 compilation Death Rides a Pale Cow: The Ultimate Collection, and 'The Thing That Only Eats Hippies' appeared on the 1998 compilation Cream of the Crop.

This is a reference to Hüsker Dü, a punk trio from Minneapolis that featured Bob Mould on guitar and vocals, Greg Norton on bass, and Grant Hart on drums and vocals.
